BIGWORDS.com
BIGWORDS.com needed to reach the college market. Typically the college market is extremely difficult to penetrate due to it's inward focus and high "cool" factor. Over the course of the past 5
years, using extremely well crafted, extremely college specific marketing MDU has helped BIGWORDS keep college students coming back again and again. We built a Nationwide network of
'Campus Consultants' - outspoken student opinion leaders who work with various campus groups and organizations to skillfully deliver BIGWORDS' messages and Memes to students and
professors.
- Product: College Textbook Retailer
- Media: TV, Radio, Campus Newspapers
- Online: Banners, Affiliates, E-mail, Tell-A-Friend

Anarchy Online
Through a retail glitch Anarchy Online found themselves with over 50,000 retail copies of their new game. The expense of these games necessitated a focused approach that would result in the
highest number of conversions possible. By giving the game out on college campuses, at LAN parties (game playing parties), at targeted events like the Game Developer's Conference, and in
highly 'wired' Urban Markets MDU helped Anarchy recover from what could have been a very painful experience.
- Product: Anarchy Online, massively multiplayer fantasy, role-playing game.
- Promotion: Distribute 50,000 copies on campus, at key events (GDC, e3).
- Campus Network: 60 reps at 45 schools.
- Results: Subscriber conversion at 5%, nearly stopped the LAN at MIT.

Expression Center for New Media
Ex'pression Center for New Media needed better community awareness in the Junior College and High School markets, particularly with counselors and teachers who influence student's school
choice decisions. Through a careful, targeted campaign aimed at highly involved and motivated teachers - particularly those at digital magnate schools - MDU continues to very successfully get
the Ex'pression message out in the classroom to thousands of students and hundreds of teachers a year. The extreme difficulty of getting classroom time for the Ex'pression message was
surmounted by assembling a presentation that not only featured Ex'pression Center student work, but also included a very motivational, interesting, fun and non-sales-y message about success,
following one's dreams and listening to one's gut level instincts. This message is completely in keeping with the Ex'pression brand, but is also extremely welcomed by teachers and counselors
who invite MDU back year after year.
- Expression Center: A Digital Arts and New Media College.
- Target Audience: High Schools and Jr. Colleges.
- Ex'pression E'vangelist Outreach Program.
- An average of 9 school presentations a week personally reaching nearly 10,000 students every 6 months.
- Active counselor and teacher contacts up from nearly zero to more than 500 and growing.
- Initiated Ex'presso Newsletter to teachers and counselors.
- Results: Makes Radio and Print more efficient with Open House RSVPs increasing tenfold, pre radio advertising.
- Admissions: from 65% to 100% capacity with waiting list. New Admissions added recently.
